Hopefully the Ground Hog Got it Right…

Hopefully the Ground Hog Got it Right…

I am sitting here at my computer thinking of how grateful I am for the value that so many people, like you, bring to my real estate business. I’m looking out my window and there is not a cloud in the sky. The temperature is 79 degrees and my tee time is an hour away.   Unfortunately, I had to come to San Diego to see this. It’s still raining in Tuolumne County. But trust me, Spring is coming!  One thing is for sure, this winter season is coming to an end.  It does every year without fail. yTo6XBqbc.jpg

Just like the weather seasons come and go, so do the seasons of life.  The older I get the faster the seasons move by.  These “seasons of life” go by so fast. My hope is that you enjoy each one, and are able to take the time to be grateful for your friends and family as each season passes.

Spring is a time of action. People are busy trying to get things done that they could not do during the winter months.  There is a renewing of the mind, the spirit, and a reminder of many things that are GOOD!  Hopefully this special season will allow you to simply grab your favorite book along with your favorite lounge chair, set it right down in your favorite spot and really enjoy the place you call home! Enjoy the spring. The summer will be here before you know it.

So, what does this have to do with you, or your home, or real estate?

Unfortunately, there are people that will have a Springtime they would much rather forget.  Just up the highway from where I am typing this, there is a hospital full of teens fighting for their lives.  For them and their families, the Ground Hog seeing or not seeing its shadow is the furthest thing from their mind. Don’t get me wrong, these families long to see their kids out playing sports or surfing – but for now, they are praying this Spring will be a season of healing.  I’m hoping that as you enjoy your Spring, you may take a moment to help those teens. Because,

Your Referrals Help the Teens

As you may have heard, Teen Cancer America is front and center in the fight against nasty diseases that destroy or cut short the lives of Teens.  We are thankful to have such a wonderful organization doing such great work to help heal and save young people.

Even though we are eager to enjoy Spring, others are simply hoping they can be here to see it.  This is why we here at the Joe von Herrmann Real Estate Team have resolved to do what we can to help.

As you know Teen Cancer America depends on sponsorships and donations to help in their work to heal and save the teens.  So we have pledged to donate a portion of our income from home sales to Teen Cancer America (just like we did last year) to help them in their quest to Heal, Save, Cure, and Comfort Teens with cancer.

We are on a mission to raise $10,000 for Teen Cancer America! The reason is because they do great work in helping teens fight through, survive and recover from nasty, debilitating cancers that many times rob the life right out from young people.

And this is where YOU come in!  YOUR REFERRALS HELP THE TEENS…

WhoCares.pngTeen Cancer America partners with hospitals throughout the United States to develop specialized facilities and services for teens and young adults with cancer. They build teen-friendly environments, enhancing the hospital experience. They develop standards for age-targeted care, improve collaboration between pediatric and adult specialists, and enable dedicated research to improve outcomes and survivalYour referrals allow me to donate to this tremendous  organization.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend of The Who are the driving force behind Teen Cancer America. After over a decade working with Teenage Cancer Trust in the UK, the duo decided to bring their passion across the pond and make a difference in the lives of teens and young adults with cancer in the United States. For those special people in your life considering a move that you refer to my team, you can rest assured that not only will they get the award-winning service we are known for, but a solid portion of the income we receive from the transaction will go toward a very worthy cause as well!

Why I Support Teen Cancer America

Almost 12,000 young people between the ages of 13 and 25 are diagnosed with cancer each year – that is more than 30 every day, more than one every hour.

Results for some cancers affecting young people have not improved in over 30 years.

Teens and young adults fall into a sort of “no man’s land” when it comes to treatment; they are not really children, but they should not be classified as adults, either. Seventeen year olds present a different challenge altogether and have completely different emotional and social needs than toddlers in pediatric wards or seniors in adult centers.

Treatments are usually designed for small children or old people and may not be suitable for young people going through growth and hormonal changes.

A clinical trial is the best chance of survival, and yet very few are available for young people.

Too many young people are still being wronged by cancer…They are our future.
